Product Description
Since I have already broken two of these very fragile clips supplied by Lian-Li I decided to "make my own" version of those clips. Printed with nylon they are less likely to break and you can get them in a few different colors.
This is the clip that goes on the bottom fan/radiator frame and allows for the frame to be snapped in or quickly removed from the bottom of the case. The clips do hold very well (at least in the two pair I received for my computer build), they are flexible enough. To use, hold the clips in place and use the existing screws to 'cut' threads into the clips. Do NOT overthighten the screws.
Sold as a pair with small cylinders that must be cut away to separate the pair. The cylinders are located on the back side of the clips so if you are using the colored version the small resulting white dots left by the removal of the cylinders will remain unseen.
Please note, the MJF PA12 is stronger than the Versatile Plastic, I am not sure it really makes a difference in this case. The issue with MJF PA12 is that it is only available in Gray and Black, while Versatile plastic is available in colors. Another thing to be aware of is that all the colors are satin-like and the parts are not shiny, if you want shiny parts the option is to spray paint a fine (thin) layer of gloss clear on the clips. Besides giving a shiney surface the clearcoat will give the part some protection from discoloring as a result of oils and dirt on your fingers.
