The Y25 type chassis are widely used with nearly every type of cargo wagon in Europe. Compared to older types of chassis, the Y25 type stands out for its low weight and simple construction. It withstands load up to 22,5t per axle and can safely reach speeds up to 120kph.

Model

With this package, you will receive 2 pieces of chassis intended for use with a cargo wagon. You need two chassis per wagon. Use only with wheelsets of diameter 7.5mm, 7.7mm or 7.8mm and axis 18.5mm long with tip on both ends. Axis of the wheelsets can vary in its length by ±0.7mm, since the chassis are designed with adjustable width. Wheelsets from common manufacturers (Tillig, Modmueller,...) will fit. It is strongly recommended to use wheelsets with metal wheels and metal axis, since it greatly reduces friction when used with plastic chassis. You will need super glue to attach all parts together. Pay special attention to smooth rotation of the wheelsets between both sides of the chassis while they sould not wobble too much.
