Product Description
Dipl. Eng. Wolfang Hütter submitted to the Reichs-Luftfahrt Ministerium (RLM, German Air Ministry) as late as 1945 a project-study for a new one-seater Assault/Ground Attack Plane, of mixed wooden/metal construction. Propulsion of the small shoulder-wing airplane was to be achieved by two low-vibration ram-jet engines (Argus As 044) which were to be attached to wings and fuselage.
Hütter further assumed to be able to minimize the vibrations of the ram-jets as far as there would be no damages caused to fuselage and wings any more.
Take-off was to be done, supported by a broad skid, via a rigid-towing device or a launch-pad. This skid was also to be used during the landing procedure
Armament for the "Tiefangriffs- und Schlachtfluzeugprojekt" (TSFP, low level attack and ground attack aircraft project) were to be two MK 108 guns in the bow and twentyfour R4M rockets below the wings (attached on wooden grids).
Due to inherent high fuel consumption of the ram-jets and the very restricted space for any fuel tank, planned endurace of the plane was calculated at 40 minutes only."
