This ship appears in the video game "Star Trek: Fleet Command", set in the Kelvin Timeline. Many of the ships there are very similar to models that were previously shown on "Star Trek: Enterprise", yet they are significantly different. This one is obviously based on the 22nd century Bird-of-Prey from "ENT: Minefield" and even does have almost the exact same proportions. The description in the game says: "The Gladius class interceptor is a classic Romulan design...". So it is possible that this is meant to be the Kelvin Timeline version of the ship from "Enterprise" or a later variant of that type. Therefore, i use the same size for both models. One of the things the two designs differ drastically is the shape of the forward main hull. Interestingly the form used here bears a striking resemblance to the fan-designed 'Vengeance Hawk' by Atolm, which i use as the TMP-TNG version of the Romulan Bird-of-Prey. A coincidence? Either way, this does fit this design nicely into a possible design lineage of the various Bird-of-Prey variants in my shop.
