Product Description
A simple locomotive body loosely based on a UK-built Bagnall prototype which ran from 1908 on the Thamshavn Railway in Norway, now a museum line. The body clips onto the low cost Rokuhan SA001-1 shorty chassis running on 6.5mm track, so designing the body as 2mm to 1 foot provides an approximation to metre gauge. http://www.rokuhan.com/english/products/shorty-series/. A suitable pantograph I used is the Kato 11-404 - several N gauge pantograph variants are available. Holes are provided in the roof for the pantograph fixing lugs, but some fettling will be required as the roof profile is necessarily narrower than the original N gauge model. Detailing such as handrails omitted to allow surface finishing. Version first printed and shown in photograph included unrelated features inside the body; version offered here excludes those features. Information on the prototype can be found at http://www.folk-rovere.org/mj/tb_artikkel_eng.php
I also offer wagon bodies to suit the shorty container car chassis shown in the photograph. The Nn3 tipper wagons in the photo are from Ryd Train's Shapeway shop, fitted with Full Throttle z-gauge wheels.
