Nn3 V-Tipper Train of Ten
peter_j_duthie @Roy_Stevens Understood, and thankyou for quick response - appreciate issues for redesign, and likely higher print costs as well. Suspect that the Rokuhan design would not corner as well if fixed to frame in any case. I live and learn, and will need to rethink my Nn3 coupling strategy. Just wanted others not to misinterpret the earlier statement that "these will mate with all MT, AZL, and Roukan locos and rolling stock" The Rokuhan mechs are remarkably cheap at £10 each (in 2018) - not altogether surprising that there are compatibility issues. No criticism of your design intended - they seem to have come out nicely.
peter_j_duthie @Roy_Stevens Four years on, and I have just received a set of these from Shapeways NL. Look good at first inspection, thankyou, and first trial with Full Throttle wheels looks like they fit, stay in place and roll (if a little less than freely). Just a little disappointed that couplers do not mate with the Rokuhan shorty chassis I am using for Nn3. Not only is hook design different, but couplers are much higher, so that Rokuhan mini-Arnold style coupler simply rides underneath. Don't have any other Z-gauge stock to compare as yet, so it may well be the Rokuhan that diverges from standard, but unless much smaller wheels are used, then I'm not sure that swapping the couplings in the Rokuhan pockets would sort the issue. I'll doubtless think of a way to deal with this, but unless I am misunderstanding, then perhaps a word of warning to other potential purchasers.
