HO Disney California Adventure Hollywood Car Body

This is an easy-to-assemble kit for an HO scale model of Disney California Adventure Pacific Electric "Hollywood" Car. These are a heavily abbreviated version of the 1920s era Pacific Electric cars which were built to operate in the theme park.
This model will arrive unpainted. A painted prototype of the kit is shown in the photos to give the purchaser an idea of what the kit is designed to look like when completed.

To prep the model for paint, scrub all parts with un-diluted simple green and an electric tooth brush, then scrub again under very hot water. Repeat until no waxy residue remains. Be sure to take a toothpick to clean any wax out of the alignment peg holes.
I used microscale's PE decals to decal the prototype and had to cut apart segments of the "butterfly" wings designed for the nose and sides to piece together the backward butterfly found on the left side of each doorway.
The roof has a hole for a 2mm brass trolley pole bushing. This and a suitable trolley pole can be ordered from Custom Traxx. There are pilot holes for installing the pole guards and hooks at each end of the roof, which can be bent from simple brass wire or bar stock available at any hobby shop.
