Product Description
There's a quite common issue when you take your hpi RS4 rallying, that rocks get stuck in the original steering mechanism. To avoid this, I designed this steering bellcrank mod that raises the links further from the chassis. This will give small rocks a chance to jump off the chassis instead of getting caught meaning that larger rocks will be needed to jam the steering.
This kit also includes the cover for the passage through the propshaft tunnel.
The ballbearings from the original bellcrank will fit the modded ones too, reuse those.
To maintain the steering geomtry, the tie rods should be mounted on top of both spindles and bellcrank.
The bridging link inluded in this kit is designed to be assembled with flanged ball bearings.
For this you also need:
M3x16 countersunk screw - 2x
Flanged ball bearing 4x7x2,5 - 4x (MF74-2RS)
* Attention! *
Due to manufacturing tolerances and surface finish, you may need to sand interface surfaces for bearings. Take a little at a time and check with your bearings without forcing them in. Compare with the feeling of getting them out of the original bellcrank and you should be good.
