Reaper Form Scythe - Knight Scale

Here is the “high labor” version of my Darksiders Death Scythe. The photo is after… 
NOTE: SCYTHE BLADE ONLY; does not include, Greenstuff, LED's, Skulls, Plasticard, Dremel, Sculpting Tools. 

•  Hand profiling the blade edge on with a Dremel
• Cutting a banana shape out of the center
• Inserting a pair of LED’s and dremelling grooves in the remaining blade to hide the wires
• Cutting a pair of plasticard side panels to cover the opening (both sides)
• Clipping the back half off of skulls from GW’s “Box of Skulls” and gluing them down to the panels
• Drilling out the eyes to the skulls
• Greenstuffing around all exposed wires, skulls, etc. to make the panels appear as part of the scythe itself
• Painting
• **Filing down paint along the scythe edges to give the look of energy flowing along the blade edges**

 

 **NOTE: That last part will only work if printed in SMOOTH FINE DETAIL all other plastics are not translucent and will not transmit light to the blade’s edges.
