3788 Scale Lyran Refitted JagdPanther CVN

The Lyrans are human-sized cats that bore a distinct similarity to Terran lynxes in both appearance and temperament. Bitter enemies of the Kzintis (tigermen eight feet tall), the Lyrans were staunch allies of the Klingons and enemies of the Hydrans as well. Like Kzintis, Lyrans were carnivores known to eat their captives on rare occasions. The Federation assigned each Lyran ship-type a “reporting name” to keep them separate. Lyrans were organized as a feudal society. Twenty-one counties each had a squadron of ships lead by a heavy cruiser; four dukes had dreadnoughts to lead the four fleets, while the king-emperor commanded from the capital.

This ship was built by combining the heavily modified center section of a Jaguar war cruiser with the side sections of a Panther light cruiser. The ship was built as something of an experiment and systems test bed early in the history of trimaran warships. As such, it included non-weapon option modules which allowed it to be configured for various tests. After the General War began, the ships (a second one was built during the war) were used as “utility mission ships” by the Royal Fleet, configured variously as carriers, resupply ships, Marine landing ships, scientific research vessels, or for other purposes. The Aztek panels on the outer surfaces represent efforts to reduce the electronic signature of the refitted JagdPanther and match it to the original JagdPanther so the enemy could not tell the difference.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
