Last class of battleships completed by the US Navy in WW2, following design from the preceding South Dakota and North Carolina classes; emphasizing speed to be able to escort the fast carriers.
As commissioned, BB61 Iowa had an open round bridge, with 3x 20mm AA on #2 turret. BB62 New Jersey had an enclosed round bridge and a quad 40mm AA on #2. Both were refitted with square bridges in 1945 similar to Missouri and Wisconsin.
Requires snips/clippers to remove turrets from under the ship; cut stems to length for hole; and adhesive of choice to affix them.
