The e+i shop started from an interest in exploring the ornamental capacity of building structures. most of the items on display have emerged from a continued exploration into projects that we have undertaken as e+i studio, developed as unique body-specific pieces.
By radically altering the scale (from architectural or urban scale, to the intimate body scale) we think that something incredible happens and most architectural effects migrate across the different scales.
e+i studio is a dynamic architecture and design practice based in New York City.
Informed by our background in movement related practices we approach architecture as an interdisciplinary practice that emerges from the exploration of the performance of matter and bodies in space. For us, architecture is a material manifestation of choreographed space. In other words, we seek to propose solutions that engage all users, is performative, and takes into account change in time and use.
