A work-in-progress that has been on my to-do list for years and which I'm very excited about how it's coming along so far. External aesthetics and internal acoustic geometry being worked out. Should I give this a digital-age inspired low-poly 3D style (like the Tesla electric truck) just to show off that it's 3D-printed?? I don't really want to... I'd rather do something nice; African-tribal-inspired but some kind of modern subject, to sybolize the awe-inspiring merger of tradition and technology. (EDIT) I'm actually thinking of an illustration of the Aesop (a Greek storyteller) fable about a wolf and a dog; on a cold night, the emaciated wolf observed that a dog he met was well fed and happy, but when the dog was about to lead the wolf to meet his family and share his warm home, the wolf observed the spot on the dog's neck that had been rubbed bare of fur. The dog explained to the wolf that there was only one minor inconvenience to having all one's needs being provided for: you are not allowed to roam free. So the wolf, unwilling to exchange his freedom FOR ANYTHING, not a warm bed nor even a feast of cooked meat, ran off back into the forest as fast as he could. This story is almost 3000 years old, but it's perhapse even more meaningful today, especially in America, land of beautiful wildernesses and beautiful wild-spirited people, than in any other era of world history.
