A hypothetical modernization of RN Francesco Caracciolo, if the ship was completed and rebuilt between the two Cavours and the pair of Duilio units.
The Caracciolo reconstruction involved lengthening the ship's bow by 10 mt, removing the old casemate guns and installing a new secondary battery of four triple 152 mm turrets, eight 100 mm/47 twin mounts, and a new AA suite of 14 each twin 37 mm/54 mounts and twin 20 mm machine guns.
