Product Description
Built as a single decker at Eastbourne in 1966, Car 12 transferred to Seaton when Eastbourne closed and ran in single deck form until rebuilt as a double deck open top in 1978, and this is what I've modelled here. I've left the bottom open so you could fit something like a Tomytec TM20 bogie chassis, or alternaively you can fit one of your own. I've not modelled upper deck seating as I prefer to leave it up to the modeller to decide if they want to use etched brass seating or similar. The tram was fitted with a sort of canopy structure in the entre of the upper deck to support the trolley pole but this was eventually replaced with a standard type trolley pole and post, probably beause the canopy restricted passenger movement on the upper deck. For pictures the book Next Stop Seaton is a good reference and there are several postcard views of the car via Google.
