Ribosome Magnet

Designed and modified based on the model from Voorhees et al (PDB ID: 4V5L, see below), this cute 3D printed ribosome has two separated parts (subunits), each with an empty hole for putting in a 7mm diameter magnet (magnet not included!). After gluing in the two magnets, this ribosome can carry a paper “message” in between the subunits and is the perfect addition to your desk display!



Note:

• This ribosome model has been modified to serve as a display/stationary. Some of the molecular features might not be a direct reflection of the actual structure.
• This is intended for display and is not a toy for children.
• Due to the detailed features, the printed model is relatively fragile, please use it with care (don’t drop it!).
• The two 7mm disc magnets are not included with the printing. Please purchase the magnets separately and glue in with epoxy or similar adhesive.
