Product Description
Accurate and finely detailed Whale Boat in 40mm scale. This whale boat correctly depicts a 19th Century Beetle whale boat and will allow you to create a breathtaking miniature from the great whaling ships at the end of the age of sail.
This is a single boat, suitable to depict the traditional set-up of having a boat ready to launch at a moment's notice.
These boats are available in three different materials:
- Multijet Fusion is a nylon material and has a slightly rough, somewhat pebbly surface. They will need to be primed with a high-build, sandable primer such as Mr. Surfacer, and sanded smooth. It is the cheapest option, however.
- Frosted Detail parts are more expensive, but have a better, smoother surface. They are resin prints, so can be sanded and smoothed directly, although this is a much simpler process than with Multijet Fusion prints. The slight surface roughness could also approximate wood grain, if you wish to depict heavily abused boats.
- SLA resin is the smoothest, cleanest option and will be just about ready to use straight out of the box, although it's also the most expensive option by far. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about this; the basic costs are 3x that of Frosted Detail.
