00 Scale Agenoria Stourbridge Lion Loco

This is a 00 scale model of the early locomotives Agenoria (preserved in the National Railway Museum) and sister, Stourbridge Lion (the first steam locomotive to operate in the United States).  This scratch aid enables an unpowered free-rolling model engine that, combined with an appropriate tender and motorised truck (separately available), will enable a fully working 'Era 1' train.  Upgraded with finer detail, this model originated as a jumbo-ised N Gauge engine, suitably altered to 00 tolerances and to fit proprietary parts so enabling simple construction.  

As the prototypes were wildly larger than the subsequent loading gauge (!), alternate funnels are provided enabling scale or reduced-height options.  Beans, coupling and connecting rods are also provided either for direct use or as templates for making metal replacements from stout wire.
