Product Description
This is a one-piece underframe designed for HO scale 36' Accurail boxcars 1300, 1400, 1700, and 1800 series product ranges to convert them to truss rod cars. It includes a center sill and needle beams and is designed to "plug in" to the floor provided with the Accurail models. Queen posts and truss rods must be supplied by the modeler. This part includes slots to mount the K brake assembly provided with the Accurail kit (optional).
This underframe is designed to represent a typical steel center sill, wooden needle beam 1910-era boxcar underframe.
The underframe may be printed in Smooth Fine Detail Plastic, which provides a smooth finish including rivet head detail, or in White Versatile Plastic, which has a noticeably rougher finish but is less expensive.
