The other Klein bottle (color)

This is the less popular figure-8 immersion of the klein bottle. The cross sections of this version are lemniscates.

The irregular hole pattern has been calculated by simulating a Gray-Scott reaction diffusion process on the surface.
The algorithm has been modified so that at the sites of self-intersection, the different parts of the surface do not touch but instead weave through each other's holes.

This colored version has a blue-orange contrast at the self-intersection and cycles through all hues at the away from the self-intersection.
