Saab cars were built to last—and so were their platforms, with models often being kept in production with upgrades for decades. The 9000, introduced in 1985, was only Saab's third all-new car ever, so it's no surprise that it stayed in the lineup until nearly the end of the century. But a significant update in 1992 brought a major shot in the 9000's arm, in the form of the top-of-the-line Aero. The Aero's turbocharged heart made it one of the world's fastest sedans at the time, complemented by a sleek body kit and body-hugging Recaro sport seats.
