1/160 N Scale Model to build a High Detailed Japanese Type Bridge from the 1957 War Movie.
Model reduced from the original two to only one structural pylon.
The real bridge (two real bridges, a wood one and a steel-concrete one in Kanchanaburi, Thailand) wasn't this shape, but the producer put a competition between US students before doing the film scenery and the winner design was more scenic (and rustic look) for the screen.
This SEVEN parts model is comprised of two bridge landings of 129 mm. length each, one central structural pylon 150 mm. length, and four 125 mm. length platforms to form a continuous bridge about 500 mm. length (this is in real scale about 80 meters long).
The platforms fix between them and were intended to be supported on the structural parts.
Free wide to mounting on railroads and trains is 28,5 mm.
Rail platform is 95 mm. height over the floor, and the maximum height of the pylon tower is 140 mm.
Model unpainted and to fix together.
