Product Description
A hyperboloid is a surface that is created by rotating a parabola around an axis. The most commonly demonstrated type is called a one-sheet or hyperbolic hyperboloid. It is a doubly ruled surface, meaning it can be defined in two different ways by a single line moving through space (in this case, by being rotated around the same axis). It also has a consistent negative Gaussian curvature, which means that for any given point on the object the surface curves away from the tangent plane in two different directions.
This ring takes the fascinating surface of a hyperboloid and distills it into a skeletal ruled surface. Its unique structure is both hard and linear and soft and flowing, and eye-catching design that is perfect for anyone.
Please note: Although this ring is visually wide, its point of contact on your skin is not. When determining what size to order, I recommend comparing it to a thin ring (such as an engagement ring) rather than a wide one (such as a wedding band).
