Designed by Rebecca Yoshikane – Ashland, WI, for Design Museum's Rapid Jewlery Design Competition.
From the designer: "The structure of this piece is based off histological stains of bones, glands, and muscles. Histology is the study of anatomy of cells at a microscopic level. I wanted to play off of the bone structure of the jaw and ear and the cell structure which makes up different parts of the body. EarBone is meant to be worn around your ear and brace along the jaw line."
