Tree-Root Triquetra Knot Pendant (with loop)

Celtic knots are a unique and fascinating piece in the history of symbology. This particular symbol, the Triquetra, actually predates the Celts by a few thousand years (though they made heavy use of it). Many modern Pagans interpet its three interwoven loops as symbolic of the Mother, the Maiden, and the Crone, though it's taken on many meanings over the millenia.

This model is composed of a looping band following the contours of a Triquetra, composed of two rectangular bars connected by tree roots. I wanted to emphasize the continuity ofthe loop, so I rounded the three corners, and made the band non-orientable (like a Moebius strip)! This thing is about 20 mm in diameter.

This version features an extra 5-mm loop if you want a separate fastening point, but if you want just the Triquetra itself, there's one in my shop!
