Product Description
The British Railways version of the Rectank bogie well wagon. These used a different bogie and even smaller wheels (2'6" diameter) than the ones built during WW1 and still in use through WW2. I suggest using the N-gauge Society 5'6" Gloucester bogies and Parkside Dundas 5.1mm disc wheels, though I have included a retaining pin for Graham Farish bogies (which would need to be filed right down to get a decent ride height, and are too long anyway so may not be practical). UPDATE one happy customer has used GF bogies. Search for Rectank on the N-gauge forum for photos. NOTE: If you can't source the NGS Gloucester 5'6" wb bogies or the PD 5.1mm wheels, I have 3D models of both these things on Shapeways already. I can also load up multipacks and combi-packs to reduce cost if you tell me what you have in mind.
