Heavy Duty Quickfist Mount

Always though the Quick Fist Clamp flexing around that one mounting point was sketchy. So I made a mount that would take advantage of the two holes that pass through both ends side-to-side. It'll work on a FrontRunner roof rack and it should fit any T-slot mount. Or drill mounting holes in any surface.

Alternatively you can remove the Quick Fist and use a locking pin as tiedown points for light loads.

To reduce the potential for tearing the rubber of the Quick Fist to a minimum tolerances are tight for the 5/16" bolts and pins. You may have to use some WD40. A tapered punch works great getting the holes to align.

In general parts made of Versatile Plastic (Also known as Strong and Flexible, Nylon 12 Plastic, PA12, Polyamide, PA 2200) show high mechanical strength and elasticity under steady stress in a temperature range from - 40°C till + 80°C. Short time loading of parts made of PA 12 without stress is possible up to 160°C.

Multi Jet Fusion Plastic PA12 has nearly the same thermal properties as Versatile Plastic but the print process improves resilience to abuse.

Quick Fist and Hardware are not included. You'll need

• Original QUICK FIST Clamp
• Surface mounting bolts are M8 flanged button heads. You need a low profile head on the bolt. You may be able to get regular height hex heads to work but you'll be hating life. 
• 5/16" locking pins with 1 - 3/8" usable length or a 1 - 1/2" 5/16" bolt will also work to pass through the Quick Fist Clamp and mount.
