Product Description
Serotonin is a monoamine neurotransmitter related to dopamine and norepinephrine. Monoamines have important functions in the human body including modulating sleep, hormones, body temperature, pain, and psychomotor functions like cognition, mood, learning, and memory. They are also involved in cardiovascular, respiratory, and gastrointestinal control. Serotonin, in particular, is critical for feelings of happiness and well-being, and its metabolism is a target for drugs treating depression.
In this design, nitrogen and oxygen atoms are indicated by text embedded in the spheres and all double bonds are represented.
The pendant is approximately 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide and 3 cm (1.2 inch) long below the loop.
