The Sun Sage

In a dream, I saw the Sun Sage standing at the ruined stone entrance gate of a once majestic temple, now crumbling and overgrown with weeds. His brazen mask lay fixed upwards toward the sky, as he awaited the sunrise in tense suspense. His capes and other cloth decorations waved in the wind, and the mystical orb in his hand shone with a glimmering yellow shine, seeming to mimic the sun's radiant arrival. When the Sun Sage saw me, he cried aloud in a guttural and terrifying roar, and raised the glowing orbin my direction, after which I felt a wash of heat surge through me, knocking me off my feet. The cold cobblestone dug into my back, and my hands chafed as I pulled myself away. The Sun Sage made no effort to chase me, apparently content with my leaving it to its own devices.
