Yosemite Valley Full Color Model 1:100,000

Hold all the wonders of Yosemite Valley in the palm of your hand.  This model started with LIDAR survery data and USGS aerial photos.  See the rocks, the river, the waterfalls, the meadows, the trees, everything but the crowds!  The magnificant valley is rendered to a scale of 1cm = 1km.  There is no height exageration.

Although it is based in part on survey data and photographs this sculpture is an artistic creation and it should not be used for navigation, scientific study, or any other purpose which relys on its accuracy.

This model is based on data provided by the OpenTopography Facility with support from the National Science Foundation under NSF Award Numbers 1226353 & 1225810.  This data was collected by the National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping (NCALM) on behalf of Greg Stock of the National Parks Service.
