Product Description
This unusual pendant depicts an important anatomical structure on the leaf surface of many plants, the glandular trichome. Glandular trichomes are common among members of the mint family, i.e, basil, peppermint and rosemary, as well as in Cannabis sativa. Essential oils and other secondary metabolies like tetahydrocannabinol (THC) are stored in the spherical head of the trichome. These molecules act primarily as a defense against small herbivores like insects, but they tend to have an attractive effect on larger herbivores like humans.
This is the large version of the pendant, approximately 4 cm long and 3cm wide. The internal dimensions of the bail to hold the chain are 4 mm x 6 mm. If you would like to purchase a chain along with this pendant, please click on the "ADD A CHAIN" button below the material dropdown.
