Product Description
I previously sculpted a high-poly version of the world's favorite Grand Marshal, but it was not suitable for 3D sandstone printing in anything less than a ginormous size. I started from scratch, and reined in his sumptuous hands to be printable (which turned out perfect for this scale in sandstone), and then affixed him atop a pedestal of full North Korean glory.
At first I posed him a la Lenin, as in not smiling, since this was to be a statue, but then word came down to me from Pyongyang that this was not acceptable. There are no unhappy people in North Korea, and everyone smiles all the time. I worked long hard hours reposing him into the loving father anyone would be blessed to have, and I think it turned out fantastic!
I also updated his hair style to match current fashion. In the previous version I sculpted, his hair was more brash. This hair is more representative of the serious work of redevelopment GM Kim is leading in the country. (Ok, I couldn't say that without laughing. :-)
The model itself is quite solid, and I find myself moving it like a chess piece on my desk while saying "check". It is very sturdy and doesn't topple. The pedestal does its job, and it would be useful as a cake topper, but I can't guarantee that he won't eat it when you are not looking.
