Anatomically and dimensionally accurate left and right human ribs from the computed tomography scan of an 18yo male, MEDLYMPH006 of the
CT Lymph Nodes Collection of the
TCIA.
Each rib was segmented separately. In forensic anthropology, the ability to sort ribs and distinguish left from right can help with determining the completeness of skeletal remains as well as the number of individuals in a skeletal assemblage.
I have also made a 3D viewer where you can toggle the visibility of individual ribs here: https://www.terriesimmons.com/rib-app.
