The Series 1 Lotus Evora uses a manual shifter with a ball-in-socket design made out of plastic. Because of the stresses shifting places on the plastic ball and cross-gate arm, the joint fatigues over time, resulting in a broken shift shaft.
This "blue ball" replacement has been faithfully recreated, but with a 10.5mm hole -- ready to accept post-printing threading using an M12 x 1.5 set of taps. A complete replacement of the shift shaft using this ball requires additional materials, and the re-use of existing mechanisms, such as the reverse lock-out collar, lift tube, etc. There is also a
threaded model available, but please read its description for caveats.
Recommended to print in either Stainless Steel or Aluminum. Post-printing polishing is highly recommended, regardless of material chosen.
