This is a 27 foot main post bracket signal with an even height dolly post on the left hand side. This bracket signal post was usually used to indicate which track a train would be entering where both tracks were of equal priority. The bracket could also indicate entry to other tracks or be a Home/Starter signal where there was restricted space. Signal post heights indicated the status of the track they were protecting. Similarly, signal arm placements and sizes followed the same rule.
A set of bracket detail parts containing signal arms and other details such as finials, lamp tops and counterweight levers is also required to complete this signal along with 0.015" phosphor bronze wire and several small screws that are readily available.
