N Gauge Manning Wardle Class F (for RTR chassis)

This bodyshell model represents the Manning Wardle Class F, built from the late 1800s onwards, this particular example modelled with a curved-back cab.

This model (to 1:148 scale) fits the Tsugawa TU-Koppel A chassis - it's a simple push fit with lugs slotting into clips on the chassis. The chassis can be bought directly from Japan, or several UK suppliers import them. Space is left in the boiler to allow 5.5mm diameter steel rod to be added, which helps increase the weight for traction and improve the electrical pickup. Holes are included to allow the modeller to add 0.3mm wire to represent the handrails. A few dimensions are mildly compromised to allow it to fit the chassis but overall it is close to the prototype.
