Here is a HO scale model of the "Improved Locomotive Head Light" which appears in the "Fourth Annual Catalogue and Price List of Railroad, Locomotive and Car Builders' Supplies, Manufactured and Sold by S.B. Bowles" (1859). This unusual (for the era) head light is described as being "...more symmetrical, and in keeping with the general style of the engine".
It is modelled here in its largest size, with a 22 inch reflector. Appropriate for use with locomotives of the 1850s and 1860s. These are printed in pairs.
