Product Description
These earrings are inspired by the unusual structure of columnar basalt, a type of igneous rock formed by rapidly cooling lava extruded to the earth's surface. By this process, distinctive hexagonal columns are created. Columnar basalt can be seen in many places throughout the world including the Giant's Causeway in Ireland, the Devil's Postpile in California, the Black Sand Beach of Iceland, and the Columbia River area of the Pacific Northwest United States.
Earrings do not ship from Shapeways with earring backs. You will need to purchase these yourself, or use some from another pair of earrings. Post diameter is 1 mm and fits standard earring backs. Earrings are 1.8 cm in the longest dimension (top to bottom).
