Product Description
5 carbon microstructures represented in one pendent: graphene, graphite, nanotubes, bucky ball, and diamond. The softest pencil lead or the hardest diamond are both made with the same carbon atoms; but rearranged to get very different microstructures and very different properties. The microscopic structure creates the macro behavior and these allotropes are a great way to see it.
