These artistic novelty items make great corporate gifts and sit well on desks, mantles, bookshelves, coffee tables, vanities, and near jewelry boxes, etc.
Unlike a maze that forces decisions, in a labyrinth, the only choice is whether or not to turn back before reaching the conclusion, in this case, the center. Aside from the central pillar and open corner mark, this labyrinth is comprised of only one singular wall of varying heights.
Simple, distinct, and enduring, this collection is deeply geometric, centered, fractal or self-similar, symbolic, scalable and semi-symmetrical. Each piece in the Labyrinths Collection exhibits proportions that touch close to Phi, or the golden section, a mathematical ratio described as both the Divine Proportion, and the Ecstasy of Nature.
When 3-D designing with basic cubes on a limited plane, "Near-Phi" is as close to perfection as mathematics permits, and for this particular variation:
-The base-to-height ratio is ~ 1:0.6179
-The center column is hollow and marked to show the near-Phi cascade from the apex down to the bottom of the base.
-The open corner pillars denote the Fibonacci sequence from the base.
-Some of the base-plate holes display the near-Phi ratios from the verticle axis.
-The (66mm) 2.6 inch size is approximatley 2 powers of Phi (~1.618^2).
-The 89x89x55mm size is comprised of Fibonacci Sequence numbers, and the 44.5mm version is half that.
Although the nub-marks are hardly noticeable at arm's length, they can be felt to add an intriguing touch of gold regardless of the printed material.
Slightly different from the others in the collection, this version has a Wall-Width-To-Path Ratio of ~1:5, which on a 89x89 grid with a wall width of 2, touches very close to actual Phi in a few places.
Considering the heavily near-Phi infused constitution of these designs, and depending on the material chosen, subtle energy (or Chi/charge) may emanate from these art pieces - with potential to be felt like "spiritual gravity."
