Description
This ring represents a Roman soldier through the many features it holds within its design. To begin, the shield designed on this ring is a Roman Scutum, the type of shield that was used by the ancient Roman soldiers. The sword that is designed and attached on the side of the shield is a Gladius, a common wielded weapon by the ancient Romans. Designed and added in along the outside of the ring is a form of Meander art which was a common form of pattern art shared by the ancient Greeks and the Romans. This ring also includes within its design a curved inside surface for a comfortable fit.
