1/87 Wayne 450 Street Sweeper

This is an HO scale model of a 1956 Wayne model 450 street sweeper. The actual machine was manufactured in Pomona, California from circa 1950 until circa 1959.  It was the main competitor to the Elgin brand of street sweepers.  Wayne sweepers like this were common throughout the US from the 1950s until the 1980s.  Many highway departments switched to 4-wheel sweepers which were less maneuverable, but had higher travel speeds.  The sweeper had a hopper capacity of 3 yards, a turning radius of 14 feet, and a top speed of about 21 mph.  The photo shows a completed model with some details that are not included with the 3d print.
