Initially horse-drawn, the Wantage Tramway Company eventually acquired 7 steam locomotives and a variety of coaches to carry passengers to and from the town. Standard wagons were used to transport goods traffic.

NOTES
This bodyshell is designed to fit an unpowered Kato 10-500 Pocket LIne 0-4-0 'Chibi' steam locomotive chassis. Kato supply a powered coach to propel this.
The Kato loco can be disassembled by undoing the two screws under the chassis.
The bodyshell should simply fit onto the Kato footplate but some careful filing might be required.
Reassemble cautiously using the original bolts. The screw holes should be checked for size and filed out if too tight to prevent the boiler cracking.
Powered and unpowered Wantage Tramway coach models are also available.
