AMPHIBIAN MOVEMENT HOLDER & LID

I needed a tool to help with working on my Vostok watches, something which would hold my project securely at different stages of the process, but which was more user-friendly than generic holders and designed specifically for the Vostok Amphibian range.

I needed something to hold the Vostok watch movement both in and out of its spacer ring (29 or 32mm), with and without the auto winding bridge fitted, with and without dial & hands fitted, dial up or dial down. I  needed to be able to access the dial feet screws while holding the watch movement. I needed to be able to easily refit a spacer ring. I needed a holder which would fit under a basic hands presser. I needed to be able to cover whatever was in the holder while I made a cup of tea in order to keep the dust at bay. I needed a central pilot hole to take a supporting screw for refitting seconds hands.

It took months of prototyping, redrawing and printing in several materials at different printing companies to get it just right.....

.....and now it really is. Buy  in 'Smooth Fine Detail Plastic'. It's perfect.
