April 2021 update : somehow the model disapeard in the shapeways shop , but now its back. Until now the keys from mini are still the same and this key fob still fits.
April 2019 update : New materials added , even a transparant one. Sadly pullinng out the cutom tool , it gave to much errors.
May 2018 update : This month Shapeways will introduce new materials as replacement to others. These will be " black hp nylon" and " gray nylon plastic" . I put them in as selection when available. Currently the option to add text or an image tool in the site is not working for everybody. No report from Shapeways yet if this will be fixed soon. Please report to Shapeways in the help section , if you have problems ordering.
November 2017 UPDATE: Added some more materials like " black and white premium strong and flexible " Also edited the pricing , some materials got a lot cheaper so droped the price 20% Hope you al enjoy youre smaller keys. Please read before you order !! there are several replications of the key-fob that are NOT made by me and i have no afiliation with BMW what-so-ever , other than that i own a Mini JCW. I got reports on the forum's that it doesnt fit , but my revison 3 design fits for shure. It has more material inside the key what makes it a one way fit only to gain overal stiffness.
this is revison 3 of the Key Fob F56 and F55 , ( Update 01-2018- F60 is tested and fits also), as replacement for the original Mini-made large ring-shaped Fob. The difference between rev 1 is this rev 3 : the overall thickness in rev. 3 is 0.6mm more and therefor more material to print. Seems little but does do a lot to the stiffness of the fob. Its also easier to attach like in > just like the original one.

In metal there is a tolerance in size of + or - 5%, because of the way shapeways produces the metal .
Metal printing is therefor in my opinion NOT recomended, but if you want to try its in the list.
Mounting :
first - remove the back of the key containing the "MINI" text ( Owners manuals page 34 > )
Second - slide out the original ring-shaped key third - slide in the new Shapeway’s printed one. ( its one way only !)
finally - close the back of the key.
