When the all new 1934 Chrysler Airflow arrived in dealer showrooms in late 1933, dealers were able to purchase a soldered metal wire frame sculpture of the car's innovative new spaceframe as a desktop display.
A surviving example of an original 1934 dealer promo frame was laser scanned in fine detail to produce the fullsize 3D plastic model offered here.
The laser scan resulted in a very faithful model, so much so that you will clearly see "solder" at the joints and where different sizes of metal square section tubing were used by the original craftsmen. The original models were painted aluminum/silver over every surface including the square rods and the solder joints.
The 3D print that you receive will be in white plastic. To properly finish off your model, you will need to apply an aluminum/silver spray paint over the entire model. (one can of Krylon VHT SP127 Engine Enamel Universal Aluminum will do the job very nicely)
