Product Description
Anyone who has a Tamiya Hornet or Grasshopper will know that the torsion springs used to keep the rear axle preloaded are rubbish, and ends up with a loud bang under load and poor handling.
Many people have devised their own 3rd shock modifications for them, where a coilover type shock absorber is used to replace these, providing much better damping and handling.
This, quite simply is my version.
It utilises the mounting holes for the speed controller heat sink - so an ESC will be needed so that these holes are vacated.
2 Team Losi Mini-T alloy shocks are used (any mini-T shocks will work) and these pass down through the wiring slot in the rear bulkhead.
At the bottom end on the axle, I made a lower mount (available very soon) which required a small slot to be cut through the plasic housing, allowing the rear suspension rod to be fed through.
