0.05 Seconds of Water Running (3.25 turns)

A visualization in sculpture of 5 hundreths of a second of the sound of water running in a country stream, recorded by the artist in upstate New York in the United States.  The 3D model was created in a bespoke modeling program that uses the loudness of the audio data and allows the artist to sculpt that data into twisted shapes like this one, a spiky spiral (or helix, if you prefer).  This is was one of the first successful sculptures created, along with "Insects," and will be on offer for only a limited run of 5.  For more information, please visit http://pixelist.info.
