Product Description

Neil Armstrong (born 5 August 1930 died 25 August 2012) was an American astronaut and aeronautical engineer, test pilot, Univercity professor and the first person to walk on the Moon. Graduate of Purdue University, Armstrong studied aeronautical engineering, became a US Navy aviator on 1950 and saw combat action in the Korean War. After the War, he completed his bachelor's degree at Purdue and became test pilot for NACA - National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics at Edwards Air Force Base in California flying fighter jets. Armstrong selected as NASA astronaut in 1962 and made his first spaceflight as command pilot of Gemini 8 in March 1966. On 20 July 1969, Armstrong and Apollo 11 Lunar Module pilot Buzz Aldrin became the first people to land on the Moon. When Armstrong stepped onto the Lunar surface, he famously said: "That's one small step for Man, one giant leap for mankind". After resigned from NASA in 1971, Armstrong taught in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Cincinnati until 1979.

This kit contains all necessary parts for assembling ONE figure bust under 1/9 scale (200mm) and requires cleaning and painting. Any extra diorama accessories are not included and should be purchased separately.
