Product Description

USS JIMMY CARTER (SSN-23) is the last of the US Navy Seawolf class, nuclear powered submarines. She is the replacement of the USS Parche (SSN-683) for special underwater reconnaissance missions. She has a 100 ft section added amidships which contains diver lock-in/lock-out chambers and hatches along with lock-out chambers for UUV's, ROV's and other devices. There are no official unclassified drawings/pictures of SSN-23's below waterline configuration. Model is based drawings from H.l. Sutton's "Covert Shores", existing drawings of Seawolf/Connecticut, unclassified drawings/pictures of Parche ... with a bit of speculation thrown in.
